Often fishing boat owners will tie up close to shore on the full tide, at low tide when the water has receded they can perform rudimentary maintenance and repairs on or under the hull.
On the next incoming high tide they just untie and motor on back to their mooring no worse for wear with issues resolved and ready to resume fishing.
