Artist's Description
The lobster boat "Joyce L" docked along side a pier in Beals Island, Maine, August,1973.
This was my first visit to down east Maine with no conception I would one day live here.
I hand processed the black & white film at that time and only recently found the negative and created this digitized file.
The nostalgic old wooden slat lobster traps in this photograph were commonly used back then, each one made by hand by the lobster fishermen.
