A powerful underlying ocean surge inundates Sail Rock and explodes as it overflows the submerged precipice in the rough oncoming seas of the Bay of Fundy/Gulf of Maine.
Sail Rock is located just offshore from West Quoddy Head Lighthouse at Quoddy Head State Park the easternmost peninsula on the United States mainland located in Lubec, Maine.
