Stunning landscape as the sun spills its warm rays over acres of down east Maine's crimson blueberry barrens.
Out of the 85 million pounds of blueberries Maine produces these flat bush variety account for over half the harvest.
Following the blueberry harvest in August the barrens turn shades of crimson red as they go dormant for the winter.
The brilliant ground cover combined with colorful tree foliage makes for an extraordinary different leaf peeping experience.
