Intentional underexposure and shooting into the sun at 1/1000 of a second froze this crashing wave creating a monochromatic silhouette as high seas from northeast storm "Fortis" swept up the down east coast of Maine last evening. A high morning tide assured dramatic sea conditions that displayed the ocean's might. The image was taken at Quoddy Head State Park the easternmost peninsula on the United States mainland located in Lubec, Maine.
