Description
I liked the portrait like display of the Robin's spreading wings as it was caught by the camera.
I thought the tones and shapes almost give the image an oriental feel to it.
I am always amazed at what the camera captures in that brief moment of exposure that the eye fails to see.
In this case 1/1000 sec at f4.0, ISO 800, manual mode w/ 500mm on a tripod.
I only shoot manual and don't even know how to shoot auto focus,...I'm a dinosaur of sorts from the days of film and pre-set lenses.
This image is from an ongoing series on my home page portraying this little robin and his antics in my apple tree

Thank you again Elizabeth,..The Robin survived and is off eating worms once again. Who knew they could be so beautiful to photograph as a series.

Fantastic capture of the poor robin. I love all your images of the robin's struggle for food but this one is my favorite. f/l/tweet
