Description
My friend Robin was happy I'm sure catching some warm sunrays this sunny Saint Patrick's Day morning. He feels the spring warmth and knows it won't be much longer before he's yanking earth worms from the ground.
Remaining apples on the tree are now less than 2 dozen but as the snow melts he's eating the fallen fruit first.
Since his early arrival February 13th during a blizzard, he's toughed it out in yet two more blizzards claiming the tree and its apples for himself.
While photographing him today he flew down to my tripod and visited briefly as I stood there motionless. I think he trust me now?
There's an empty nest in the same tree from last year, wouldn't it be funny if Robin finds a mate and they hatch their young there?...would be neat.
This image is from an ongoing series on my home page portraying this little robin and his antics in my apple tree
